The Yoga of Allowing Life: Philosophy, Reflection & Deep Rest Asana Practice

$60.00

What if the ease we're looking for isn't found by changing our circumstances - but by changing how we meet them?

Amidst the fullness of summer, give yourself three hours to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself. Together we'll explore one of yoga's most compassionate teachings: while pain is an inevitable part of life, our resistance to it often deepens our suffering. Through accessible yoga philosophy, deep rest practices, and community reflection, we'll discover what it means to soften into life - not with resignation, but with presence.

When & Where:
Saturday, August 8 | 3–6 PM |
The Green Yogi, MLK, Berkeley | $60

What we'll explore together

Accessible Yoga Philosophy Together we'll explore the kleshas - the inner patterns described in the Yoga Sutras that contribute to our suffering. Rather than studying philosophy as abstract ideas, we'll discover how these teachings can help us understand our everyday thoughts, emotions, and relationships with greater clarity and compassion.

Deep Rest Practice We'll settle into a yin-inspired restorative practice with long-held, fully supported postures and gentle somatic elements woven throughout. This practice invites the body to soften, the nervous system to settle, and the mind to grow quieter, allowing the teachings to be experienced - not just intellectually understood.

Reflection & Sangha We'll close with guided journaling and a gentle sharing circle, practicing compassionate reflection and deep listening within a supportive community.
